The David Steinberg Show

This was a hillaarious half hour variety show from Canada. Each show had a special guest like John Voight, Milton Berle, James Coco, Robert Vaughn to name a few. It alos stared the SCTV cast John Candy, Andrea Martin, Joe Flarety, martin Short, and Dave Thomas. Thomas was Steiberg's scottish guard, Martin Short was Steinberg's annoying sleazy lounge singer cousin Del Bravo. Across the street was the Hello Deli, run by Dave's friend Vinny, played by Bill Saluga. Vinny had a confused cousin Ray Raymond Johnson also played by Saluga. This is where he dis his famous "you can call me Ray, yaou can call me Ray Jay...... don't call me johnson bit". ****** Funny

The Guns of Will Sonnett (1967-69)

This is a great TV show. There were 50 half hour episodes. The show stars Walter Brennan and Dack Rambo. Rambo searches for his father Jim Sonnett who is the son of Will Sonnett played by Walter Breenan. Jim has led a rough life, and is wanted for various crimes. Will and Jeff Sonnett have to get to him before any lawman or angry townspeople get to him. Each epiosde was harmless, with a good message. The show was loaded with stars before they were stars like Charles Grodin, Jack Nicholson, and many many others.

Hec Ramsey: The Century Turns (1972) Universal

Pilot episode for "Hec Ramsey" The show stared Richard Boone as Hec Ramsey, a lawman in 1901. This show was way ahead of its time. Ramsey used a sort of primative version of forensics to solve crimes using finger prints, ballistics, and cement casts. Hec Ramsey was a western version of CSI. He was always way ahead of the young clean cut chief of police. This show only lasted 10 episodes and was cancelled by NBC in 1973. Hopefully the complete series comes out on DVD.

Summary of WEB 2.0.

This project was good review for people that already have some familiarity with this technology. It was also a good program to teach individuals that are new to WEB 2.0
The best points are Flickr, Blogger, Craigslist, and Twitter. IGOOGLE is also pretty cool because they have classic video games from the 1980's to choose from.

Craigslist has many items for sale. It is the best place to post things for sale because it is free. I like this add for old records for sale.

So Fine (1981) LADD/WARNER

This is a very funny film staring Ryan O'Neal as a college professor, and Jack Warden as his garment shop owning father. Warden's character borrows money from Eddie, a mobster played by Richard Keil. Eddie attempts to reclaim his money by havving O'Neal kidnapped, and forced to work in his fathers garment shop. Things get really crazy when O'Neal stars having an affair with Kiel's hot Italian wife. One of their affair encounters leads to chaos, with O'Neals clothes being tossed into the fire. He must then wear womens cloths because this is all that Eddie's wife has in the house that will fit O'Neal. When he attempts to get back to the garment shop he ripps his pants. The butt cheecks are exposed. A store owner see's this and orders a few thousand pairs. The pants showing the Butt Cheecks are called So Fine and become a top selling item for women. This film is loaded with laughs, especially due to Warden and Kiel's crazy antics. ****

The Seven Ups (1973) 20th Century Fox

The seven ups is a film about a special police task force, set up to seek out criminals that deserve 7 or more years in jail. Roy scheider stars as the determined police officer attempting to bring down a really bad mob guy. Things get out of control when one of the seven ups is killed. Tony Lo Bianco plays Scheider's old friend. Lo Bianco works for the mob, but gives Schedier information about bad guys. This movie has a very good car chase scene. Lots of action ****

The Brinks Job 1978 Universal

This film is a funny true story about some small time crooks that rob the Brinks safe and transport company in 1950. Peter Falk and Peter Boyle head the cast, with Paul Sorvino, Allen Garfield and Warren Oats. There are a few funny gags centered around Peter Falk and Allen Garfield. Warren Oats also has a few funny moments. Sheldon Leonard plays the head of the FBI. ***1/2

Logan's Run 1976 MGM

Michael York plays Logan 5, a sort of policeman called a sandman, in the year 2274. No one lives past the age of 30. They are all placed on a large carosel, and blown up. This is reffered to as the renewal. York's co worker is Francis, played by Richard Jordan. Jordan beleives in the whole renewal process, but York's character begins to question the procedure. Jenny Augutter plays Logan's love interest. The film has some good special effects (for 1976) and sounds quite well. The performances are good, and still hold up today, especially Peter Ustinov as the old man, and Roscoe Lee Brown as the robot guy called Box. Farrah Faucet is also included in the cast. ****
